At WWILD we have a vision and practice of striving for social justice by supporting people to live good lives.

Working in ways that help people feel supported and that they also feel they are giving support to others.

We strive to make people feel valued – by them feeling included and
including others.

We want people to feel safe – by us creating a safe place for them.

In 2009 our management committee and staff committed to strategic planning to develop a 5- 10 year plan for the organisation.  This planning provides direction for program areas of the Sexual Violence Protection and Disability Training Program Victims of Crime.  Our current plan has 4 broad goals.

They are to develop:

Highly relevant and accessible programs for support and information
around issues of violence, abuse and victimisation in relation to people with
developmental disabilities.

To advocate community responsibility for reducing violence, victimisation
and abuse directed toward people with developmental disabilities.

A commitment to be a best practice organisation.

A long-term organisational sustainability.
