WWILD is funded by is funded by the department of Justice and Attorney General.  There are two programs run from the organisation a Sexual Violence Prevention Service and a Disability Training Program - Victims of Crime.

Workers at WWILD strive to achieve social justice and systemic change that uphold the rights of people with intellectual and learning disabilities to live free from sexual violence.  We have a vision is of a society that values people with intellectual difference and acknowledges their abilities.

Our goal is that people lead good lives.

• Women with intellectual and/or learning disabilities aged 15 years and over who have experienced or at risk of sexual assault, violence or exploitation.
  
  
• Women who need sex education and support in learning social and
  relationship skills.
  
  
• Counsellors, parents and carers, disability support workers and community services who are looking for training and support in evidence based practice ways of working with women who are at risk or have experienced a sexual assault, violence or been victims of a crime.
  

• Therapeutic and education groups such as healthy relationships; sexuality; protective behaviours; sexual violence; self esteem;  sex education and social skills.
  
  
• Individual support and counselling.
  
  
• Referral to appropriate criminal justice systems i.e. Disability Training Program – Victims of Crime; Victim Assist Queensland and other specialist victims agencies.
  
  
• Advocacy regarding the rights of women with disabilities to organisations, policy reviews and disability services
  
  
• One-off events - Reclaim the Night/ International Women’s Day activities; women’s health workshops and exhibitions.
  
  
• Opportunities for women to participate in service development – historically through focus groups, speak-outs, and Have Your Say on Australia day.
  
  
• Training in sexual violence prevention.
  
  
• Support of victims of domestic and sexual violence work alongside of women to ensure that they understand the actions that they can take and the places that are safe to go.
  
  
• Information, support and resource on issues about disability, sex, sex education and counselling people with intellectual disabilities.
  
  
• Presentation of papers at conferences, seminars and workshops.
  
  
• Increased awareness through media and community development projects, Resource development and input into key government and non government initiatives which the capacity of women and men to lead good lives.
